Shinjuku City, Tokyo, Japan｜Gantetsu Ramen

Arrived a little after 13:00 on a national holiday Friday. No wait. Ordered from a digital ticket machine that accepts credit card. Very nice. Forgot to take a pic of the screen but ordered the special shoyu ramen for 1300 I believe. Really nice looking and tasting bowl. Heavy black pepper (which I am typically ambivalent about) works really well with the soup. The meat was not the typical char siu. Looked like some of it was tripe actually. Super different but delicious bowl! Big portion too.

Ramen heaven. You have to wait a bit in line though on Fridays & Saturdays, when they serve their special Tsukemen.

Delicious ramen, the first one I ate at after coming to Japan. There is a lot of meat and the soup is very light.
