Don't be fooled by the outward appearance. The ramen here is top-notch. The interior design is straight out of 50's/60's Japan, from the posters to the music. The noodles have wonderful consistency, but the star here is the broth. Excellent depth without too much richness. Sublime. Oomori (large portion) upgrades are available for free, and maedama (extra helping of noodles) is ¥150. Superb. Will make this a regular visit.

Since it was my first visit, I ordered ramen (720 yen). A large bowl of noodles or half rice was served, but since it was a day when I was eating and drinking Shikotama, I kept the amount of noodles and just had ramen. The rice bowl is ready in 5-6 minutes. It's full of back fat, but for some reason it's not sticky at all! The soup is seafood-based and is so gentle that you can drink it endlessly. There's a lot of backfat in there, which gives it a punch, but it's not heavy! wonder. It's a new sensation and I'm addicted to it.
