April 7th: Delicious ramen. Very tasty but light broth. Noodles were good . Perfect way to start a day. It hits the spot and doesn't leave you feeling stuffed. I will definitely go again. The atmosphere is great as you are outside along the market eating with other patrons. I really liked the whole vibe. Gochisousama 🙂

Simply the best way to start your morning at Tsukiji! The broth was so flavorful but light and clear, enough to not be overwhelming. The char sui was tender and the thin noodles were really nice. Add a bit of black pepper powder and it takes it up another level. Easily one of our favorites from a week in Tokyo. 10/10 would return in the wee hours of the morning just for Wakaba.

Wakaba ramen is my favourite ramen shop at tsuikji market. It’s a highly underrated place but their ramen is served so simple, classic, clear broth and portion is very generous. It’s the perfect type of food during the cold season because you basically stand eating on the side of the street at their standing tables. It’s a family business and I always enjoy watching the owner cook the ramen on the spot.
