More Comments at Google Map"Kannabi" is located a short distance from Nishinippori. I arrived at around 11:30am and waited, and were shown around by a very polite waiter. I ordered the "Shoyu Ramen (¥1500). The special feature of "Kannabi" is the roasted pork. The ramen is topped with an extra large piece of roasted pork. It is not hard at all. When you put your chopsticks into it, it crumbles and melts away as you eat it. The soup has a subtle sweetness and richness. The umami spreads out and it is not just soy sauce ramen. It is as if you are drinking dashi broth. I have never had such a delicious ramen soup. The noudles are also perfect. I think this is probably the number one ramen I will ever eat in my life.
Excellent chaashuu in fine, light broth. Comes with very good dessert. Outstanding service. More of an experience than a ramen. On the downside: the opening hours are inconvenient and the menu only offers the options “not enough” and “kind of too much” for the chaashuu. Still five stars because sharing one extra set of meat is just right, and the store has character. Lovely
I have been going once a year for about 15 years. This year, for the first time, the size of the char siew was painful and I felt like I was getting older, but the unique soup and warm customer service made the ramen worth over 1,000 yen.
