Kyoto, Japan｜Yokocho

It is super chill place where locals eat here. I found this place from Google map. It is only 5 mins walking distance from Ritz-Carlton Kyoto. I asked my hotel to make the reservation, but they recommended to choose another place. Because the hotel believed I couldn’t communicate with the restaurant, but I insisted. Turned out, it was one of best izakaya places I had in Kyoto. Owner and staff are super nice and helpful to get my order. I ate a lot and only caused my $100. But I ordered super fresh sashimi and the entire crab (best of the best). This is the place where locals eat and drive. Anyway, I love this place. Will come back here again when visit Kyoto again!

If you plan to eat sashimi in Kyoto, this is an outstanding spot and a neighborhood gem. We had help from one of the English speaking staff and ordered mostly raw. Everything was extremely well prepared, fresh, and nicely portioned. One of the recommendations was oysters, and they were huge, plump, and sweet! Aside from the sashimi omakase, we had extra order of ebi and toro, ankimo, steamed freshly caught clams, and finished with agadashi tofu. Yokocho is by far our best experience while in Kyoto in terms of quality of food, value, service, and environment. Reservation highly recommended. It is cash only.

The #seafood was quiet delicious. l really recommend it if you would like to try #sashimi.
