Kyoto, Japan｜Manmaru - Kyoto Nijo Station

They have just about everything a Westerner would associate with Japanese cuisine. What we got included fatty tuna rolls, which are difficult to get in the US. We were delighted.

Tasty and cheap, English menu available with lots of options. We had lunch sets and it was just what we needed after a morning of tourist-ing.

Informal place full of local people even during the week. They have a good selection of food, from sushi to different dishes as meat, soup, salads etc. We tried different things and each one was lovely. Prices are more than honest and the staff was kind. It's a smoking place, but there was no smell thanks to the perfect system of air cleaning.
