Kyoto, Japan｜Chidoriya to-ji

Great place to go for tourists. They have an English menu and a Japanese menu with pictures. (Almost) everything is 350 yen. My boyfriend and I ended up getting full from 2,900 yen. Highly reccomend the karage and grilled chicken wing, as well as the chicken skewer with cheese. Wish I got to try more. Decent vibes :)

AMAZING. Easy to find. Waitstaff are so friendly and hospitable. Long and clear English menu. Got a table straight away (7pm on a Sunday evening) but we were lucky, maybe 1-2 couples were turned away while we were dining. There’s VEGAN options :’) My partner ate almost one of everything and I had cucumber, edamame, yam, peppers and mushrooms (but if you’re a puritan vegan ask for no bonito flakes, I think it’s called katsuobushi there). So so so good. We’ll be back!!! 💕

Best izakaya in town so far. We are staying 4 night in Kyoto. Reasonable price with flavorful taste. We tried some izakaya in Gion could not compare to this one. Twice more expensive and not as yummy as this restaurant. I rarely write the review but can not miss this one. Must try!!!
