This spot is as local as it can get- we had a good time here. The owner is such a cool guy, and even the local customers there are super cool. The owners know whatever likes so when they walk in he already start prepping their drinks. He’s so friendly that speak to us in English, which we were impressed. I love the plume soda he made for me.All the side dishes such as chicken skews, sashimi we ordered were good too. He’s so generous with the portion!

Best experience in Kyoto as a French tourist. We were shy entering the place but everyone (clients and the owner) were very welcome and made us comfortable. We spent a great evening, enjoying the food and beers. どうもありがとう 🙏🏼

One of our favorite Izakayas in Japan! Great atmosphere and everyone’s warm and friendly. We were even invited to write our name on the way. Highly recommend if you’re close by and want to talk with locals.
