Kyoto, Japan｜Kōin Agaru

Oh god. SO GOOD. Grilled cabbage is phenomenal, had to order one more after more dishes. We got shu mai, beef with five spice, mash and egg, steamed pork. Lovely Austrian natural wine. There is no English menu and staff speak very limited English, but all manageable. Highly recommended.

This is a place for experiencing an actual Japanese neighborhood’s food and environment. Do not expect fast food (that’s great, btw). They don’t speak English, use your google translator and you’ll be ok

The time from ordering to serving was certainly slow, but all the dishes were delicious. In particular, skewers are exquisite in terms of grilling and seasoning. I would like to visit again. (I want to eat Yukhoe, which was out of stock!)
