This restaurant was recommended to us by the Moxy hotel staff on our last day of Kyoto. We wish we were here earlier. The chef and staff were super cool and friendly. We didn't know what to order. We asked for omakase (let the chef decide). Our first dish was Kyoto specialty - Hamo fish. It was cooked in 3 ways - sashimi, tempura and stew. It was so delicious. The beef cheek cooked in red wine and udon with duck and leek were superb. They have 25 kinds of sakes. We have a wonderful night here. We definitely will come back again in future.

Food was 10/10. Staff very kind and service was fast. Had English menu. Chefs even spoke English, so being able to chat to them gave us a true izakaya experience.

Every dish that we tried was so delicious. Super nice employees.
