Chanced upon it on our first visit to Kyoto by wandering the streets. Due to the language barrier, we opted for omakase and let the chef make the decision-which is one of the best decision we made. The nine course meal provided by the chef was superb and well thought out. The chicken sashimi and the grilled chicken liver really blew our minds. The sake was also great! Overall it’s one of our best meal in Japan thus far. Will highly recommend this joint to anyone.

The best Izakaya in town. They don’t speak English nor have English menu so I’d recommend “Omakase” meals.

This restaurant is so delicious that I don't want to give it a 5 because I want to keep it a secret. I want the second store to open near my house...! This is a chicken and tofu shop. No matter what you order, you won't be disappointed, so I think you should order what you like. The liver, heart, and namafu were especially delicious. What impressed me was that when I ordered egg over rice, I could choose how many eggs I wanted. Although it's noisy, it's a stylish Japanese-style interior, so it's recommended for dating or going out with friends. I made a reservation for the same day from 18:00 around 17:30 on Sunday, and I felt that there seemed to be plenty of seats, but when I followed it, it was full. It may be better to make a reservation, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.
