Kyoto, Japan｜Sakaki

Happened upon this place by accident and wound up coming back a few days later. The staff remembered us and our daughters fish allergy. I’m not sure if I’ve written more than one review in 10 years, but this place deserves as much positive attention as possible. Go forth, order anything, and bask in their uniquely cozy, traditional aesthetic. The next time I’m in Kyoto I will, without a doubt, come back.

Very friendly with many options to eat. Food was delicious, too!

I was walking back to my AirBnb and stumbled across this gem by accident. I was welcomed in straight away and felt right at home by the friendly owner. There is an extensive drink and food menu. I spent around 3500 yen which went towards Gyoza, Chicken Wings, a Kimchi/Pork dish, Okonomiyaki, a glass of whiskey, large Asahi, and a ginger ale Highball to finish. All absolutely delicious.
