Kyoto, Japan｜Takahitori

Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Truly a hidden gem. Duck sashimi and duck liver sashimi were so good yet reasonably priced. And I ended up trying 5 different types of sake all brewed in the Kyoto area - I’ll try more of them another time. The place is very small (only 7 seats I remember) and the chef doesn’t really speak English nor provide menus in English so you will need a friend who speaks Japanese.

This is my third visit. I come here every time I come to Kyoto. You can enjoy food and drinks in a calm atmosphere. They have a wide variety of alcoholic beverages and a wealth of knowledge, so there's always something new to discover every time. It may take some time for the food to be served as it is prepared by one person. I think it's best to relax and enjoy it when you have time and space. This is a restaurant you will definitely want to visit the next time you visit Kyoto. This is my third visit. I visit here every time I come to Kyoto.
