Busy place, make sure to book. Recommended to us and glad we went. Non speaking/ reading Japanese, we did struggle but pleased with most dishes. Huge sake choice.

Excellent! We happened on this place right next to our hotel. Everything was fantastic, sushi was really fresh and interesting, the Avocado and shrimp salad was awesome, the tempura was the lightest and crispiest that we've had in Kyoto and not greasy. Really nice wait staff as well.

Really nice. We ordered sake and they let us pick our own tiny cups to put it in! So nice. The food was really good and the service was super friendly. I would call this a sushi shop rather than an izakaya. Would return for a bite if in the area.
