As I stepped inside on a cool fall evening, the warm, intimate ambiance immediately enveloped me. Soft, dimmed lanterns cast a gentle glow, and wooden interiors exuded a cozy, rustic charm. The centerpiece of the evening was, of course, the Okonomiyaki – a savory pancake artfully prepared on the teppan grill. The tantalizing aroma of cabbage, pork, and that signature okonomiyaki sauce filled the air. Each bite was a sublime blend of textures and flavors, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and an umami explosion with every mouthful. The staff's attentiveness and the shared experience with fellow patrons added to the sense of warmth and camaraderie. It's not just a meal; it's a journey into the heart of Kyoto's culinary tradition, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a taste of Japan's soul in this enchanting city.
Decent food. English menu available. Friendly staff. Overall good for a drink and snacks.
Food was so good - best pork yakisoba I’ve had and the prices were so so reasonable. I paid $10 usd for an alcoholic drink, small app, and an entree.
