Didn't have a reservation on a friday evening. Was turned down by several restaurants. This place did accommodate me and they did it so well. I tried a mix sashimi platter. Ate sashimi for the first time in my life. I'm not a big fan of seafood although I do like fish. But I would gladly eat more of that oyster and squid. It was delicious. They recommended me to only order a half sized portion since I was eating alone. They also charged me half the price for it. After dinner I received a very heartwarming goodbye from the staff who went out into the cold of the december night with me and thanked me for the visit. It's these type of experiences with these kind of people that make me so happy to be on vacation in this country. In the picture I have already eaten a slice of each type. I just couldn't help myself.

I dined here around 5:30p with my wife, and the staff was over the top friendly as we were one of their first customers of the night. We had received and English menu upon request that states up front about the 375 yen charge per person. The complementary appetizer came out and was delicious. The food was remarkable. The environment was cozy and I have no idea why anyone would rate this less than 5 stars.

Great little place, very good food and fantastic service. Ate the sashimi, and some great skewers.
