More Comments at Google MapI had the pleasure of dining at Manzara Donguribashi during my trip to Kyoto this March, and it was an experience I will never forget. The location of the restaurant is simply stunning, right beside the Kamo River and at the Donguri Bridge. The view of the river was breathtaking and added to the ambiance of the restaurant. We ordered an assortment of dishes including Sashimi, Fried octopus, and Grilled chicken. The sashimi was fresh and perfectly sliced, and the flavors of the various types of fish were well-balanced. The Fried octopus was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the Grilled chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful. The restaurant had a great selection of cocktails, which was perfect for enjoying the view of the river. We ordered a few drinks, and they were all expertly crafted and delicious. Even though the prices were on the high side, the quality of the food, drinks, and service made it worth it. The restaurant itself had a great atmosphere, with modern and stylish decor and a cozy, intimate vibe. The staff was also very friendly and attentive, making sure that our dining experience was enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Manzara Donguribashi for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Kyoto. The stunning location, delicious food, and great cocktails make it a must-visit destination for foodies and travelers alike.
A warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff are all very friendly and genuinely want to help you. The food is simply delicious, with great variety, and is beyond fresh. The shrimp katsu & kyoto udon are a must. Ask for sake recommendations: they know whats up. Highly recommend & can’t wait to return. 9/10 (only because the English menu can use a refresh)
Great little izakaya by the river. Staff was friendly and the food was fantastic. Sake was spot on based on what I told them about my preferences.
