What an unforgettable dining experience! Drawn by the stellar reviews, we chose this restaurant for our last evening in Kyoto. Tucked away on a serene street, its entrance is so discreet we almost walked past (refer to the updated photo). We sought confirmation from a gentleman outside, who assured us we were at the right place. Once inside, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess. As we settled down, that same gentleman entered and, to our astonishment, revealed himself as the owner and chef! Our gastronomic journey commenced with an exquisite beef tartare (photo attached). We then indulged in the premium beef steak among other dishes, each meticulously crafted to perfection. The hostess, with her warmth and friendliness, made us tourists feel right at home. Heartfelt thanks for the enchanting evening.

Both Matsusaka beef and Kyoto local chicken are superb, and several Kubota sakes selected in the store are also delicious, and the price is very, very, very reasonable (tens of RMB a cup), and side dishes such as cold onions and tomatoes are also delicious. can not stop. There is also an extra staff (beautiful crane) of the izakaya outside the door. Each person needs a seat fee of 1,000 yen, and there will be free side dishes (super delicious beef mix), and the beautiful scenery is really amazing.

It was the best dinner in Kyoto. Wonderful family restaurant in an authentic Kyoto home. The owners were welcoming and friendly. The meals were delicious! Matsusaka beef was the star of the night.
