Kyoto, Japan｜Saishuan Shiraki

So glad we found this place! We had a party in our mouth the whole evening as the dishes had a unique taste and combination to it. The set menus are always different as they use the fresh seasonal ingredients of Kyoto. Heli and Miho, the hosts, were just amazing! The quality is top tier and the prices are insanely low! We had the OVO lactose vegetarian set menu which I highly recommended as a non pork eater. Note that the pictures, who lack of quality, of the food does not justify the richness of the food haha.

A lovely place to eat! The food was melt-in-your-mouth amazing, and the atmosphere was friendly, calming and charming. As a vegan, it can be hard to find good restaurants to eat at - but this place was top notch! I loved the vegan dishes, from start to finish! The hosts were friendly and easy to talk to. Their English was also quite good. I would recommend anyone to eat here, we had a lovely time!

We had a great night here. Miho caters for vegans and vegetarians which is fantastic. We had a set vegetarian menu and each item was tasty. There was a lot of food!! Google maps took us to the other side of the building - if you end up standing in a carpark walk around the block and you’ll find the entrance!!
