This was fun! Great atmosphere, awesome yakitori and a very friendly and welcoming owner who was more than happy to entertain my terrible Japanese language skills! Beers were cold and creamy, the chicken sticks were juicy and nicely charred (the chicken neck is our favorite) and the atmosphere in the shop was jovial, fun and entertaining. Note that as with a lot of places in Japan you can smoke inside the shop. Wasn't a problem for us (sort of adds to the charm) but as a heads up. Thank you for having us Astushi-san!

This was such an amazing experience, thank you very much. Nice cozy Yakitori restaurant / bar. Delicious food - fast and fresh. Atmosphere is great, met some very friendly locals and got to know each other - had a lot of fun and interesting talks. Took a Polaroid together and put it in the guest book. 😉 Owner is very polite and serves all your needs and wishes. Update 26.11.2023 Have been here again after one year and nothing changed. Top location. Highly recommended - be aware that English language is not spoken fluently here. But in my opinion it just adds to the atmosphere. 👍

Best izakaya in kyoto! The owner and his friends are super nice, also helpful staff (mae-chan is the best). Overall a very welcoming atmosphere. Kanpai!
