Kyoto, Japan｜居酒屋キャラバン

I think this is the best izakaya in Kyoto. I ate stir-fried vegetables and pork and my husband ate pork-cutlet. The food came with a set of rice (and tofu) and miso soup and the price was not more then 700¥ per set. We also took gyoza and it was the best gyoza I have ever tried (I’ve been living here from one year). It was really really delicious and we will come back for sure to eat some other food on the menu. The service was really friendly and nice.

Lively local izakaya with good beer, good food, good company! Especially enjoyed the pork kimchi, oden, and onigiri

The food was delicious and cheap. The service was great, too. The girl serving me was incredibly nice, and spoke english very well. The place was also full of locals every time I went there, and you just know it's a great sign. I definetly recommend it if you're looking for something filling and authentic.
