Tokyo Nonki is a wonderful izakaya food style restaurant, lost in uptown Kyoto far from touristic agitation. Please don’t tell anyone about this lovely cooking made with wonderful local products and a lot of "savoir-faire".

An amazing place where you can taste typical food from Kyoto

Visited on 2021.11.19 Visited after seeing the illuminations of Myokakuji and Myokenji. As luck would have it, I was able to get in right away on the same day. The measures against coronavirus were strict. Seasonal and local items such as white shrimp tempura, Manganji chili pepper, and black edamame (black soybean edamame?) were good. The stewed beef tendon soup is delicious.
