Kyoto, Japan｜Shiomi-Ya Tonton

We went for a late lunch while cycling around Kyoto (it's right on a multi-use path) and we're made to feel right at home. They helped us find a place for our bikes then served us at a table with a huge jug of iced water. The ramen was interesting and delicious. Despite having no language in common the hosts were curious and chatty with us and saw us off with a smile and wave at the door. Also, they take payment with cards!

Cozy restaurant, relaxing ambient. Special chicken ramen delicious. Waitress really kindly.

Love the ramen - either chicken or tonkotu are great. Can recommend the tsuke-soba as well
