Kyoto, Japan｜Rokkakuya

The restaurant is located next to one of my favourite pasta restaurant in Yamashina. The place itself is great, very clean, with nice atmosphere and the staff are very friendly waitressndly (one of the even sent us off (見送り) and bowed and waited until we were out of sight before going back to her duty inside the store: never had this level of Omotenashi in any other Kushikatsu restaurant I visited before !!! The Kushikatsu are excellent, the quality of the oil is great so I didn't feel heavy afterwards. On the day of visit, the monthly special included various types of Kampachi (yellowtail) Kushikatsu which were all great. The Anchovy butter french fries were an incredible match with beer 🍻😉, especially after a long day of work ! The basic Shrimp Kushikatsu is definitely recommended. And I was also very impressed by the Chahan (fried rice). Overall, a very good place, highly recommended !
