Otsu, Shiga, Japan｜いざかっぱ

The unassuming storefront hides a real gem. Good sake, well presented, richly flavored food. Kappa basically means spicy (like black pepper spicy) to the chef, and he does a good job of it. The service was wonderful, and I wish I could have tried more of the menu. The Horumon agedashi was what a takoyaki wants to be when it grows up.

The first time I used it was for a friend's birthday. My friend and I were so moved by the cake they prepared that we both cried lol. I like the dashi rolls because they are delicious. The soup stock is delicious overall. You can taste and compare Japanese sake. It was a good deal to be able to enjoy a little bit of delicious food. The interior is reminiscent of an old folk house, so if the inside is empty, you can relax quite a bit. Everything I ordered was delicious.
