Very well made food with fresh ingredients. We tried lots of different sake (our first time) and it was delicious and interesting to hear all about them.

This is the best food experience I have had in Japan! The owner's son speaks some English, we can read Chinese characters, it all worked out. I recommend that it would be better if you can speak some Japanese as the menu is written daily and doesn't have pictures. However the food is top notch, and the price is very reasonable, especially compared to top Japanese food in New Zealand (ymmv). The tap beer is Carlsberg but this place is all about the sake. Recommended dishes - roasted Gingko nuts, very good tamago yaki, roe and sashimi is all round excellent, crispy cheese and miso cucumber, mushrooms with sea urchin flavour.
