Tsutenkaku is really fun to visit. It turns out that there is a strong Showa era style here. Strolling along the shopping street, each store is full of atmosphere. Looking at the retro game arcade and retro decoration, people are suddenly transported into the Showa era. I walked to a dazzling fried skewers shop and stopped there. I really wanted to go in and experience what this highly rated fried skewers was like. Pulling open the transparent plastic sheet, it's like walking into a roadside shop like those in Japanese dramas where friends gather for dinner, full of human touch. After ordering food and drinks, I started chatting with my friends and was so happy. Recommended dishes: Earthen pot beef tendon, refreshing cucumber, fried prawns, fried scallops (basically fried things don’t mess with anything), fried lotus root is delicious😋 Because it is an izakaya, the taste is a bit salty. Those who like light food are recommended to eat without dipping sauce. Many small izakayas in Japan have a rule that when ordering wine, they may include a side dish, and some may include it depending on the number of people. Then the basic charge is 100-500 yen, so if you see the side dishes that you didn’t order but are served, you will be charged (small details, like table fees) It might be better in the evening. Food came in very quick and it was deliciousn we had shrimp, fish, chicken, beef, pork and lotus root. About the service, everyone was really approachable. They have an English menu and try their best to welcome you! We had seconds!
