It was a wonderful experience dining at Shippoya as the service staff here were so friendly and patient with us! We were not able to speak Japanese, so the service staff patiently communicated with us with a translation app. The food here is amazing, especially the yakiniku nabe with wagyu beef. We will definitely come back again!

Chanced upon this izakaya while looking for a place to have dinner and it was the best decision ever to dine here! My friends and I couldn’t speak any Japanese but the people working here were wonderfully patient with us and communicated with us via a translation app. We had a salad, yakiniku nabe (with delicious wagyu beef) and tofu soup and they were all incredible! We will certainly be back if we do visit Osaka again! :)

This is the number one restaurant in the Shin-Osaka area for taste, quality, and service! You can eat delicious seasonal vegetables and fish! There are many types of sake, including many very rare brands! You can drink many different varieties of Japanese sake such as Koei Kiku, Etsukaijin, and Roman! The owner is also a very friendly and kind person, and he is flexible in responding to requests such as how to drink Japanese sake and what snacks to go with the sake, and always serves seasonal menu items with delicious sake!
