I thought it was an izakaya, but since I'm not much of an alcoholic, I avoided it, but when I heard that they had a set menu and rice bowl dishes, I went in. It's not like you're supposed to drink alcohol, and it's a nice place to just have lunch. For the rice bowls, we had the three-colored rice bowl (minced chicken, egg, and cucumber), and for the set meals, we had the yakitori bowl and the fried chicken. The fried chicken was probably made from yakitori meat, but each one was small, but delicious. Rather than fried chicken with a crunchy batter, the thin batter gives the meat a nice flavor and texture. The three-colored rice bowl and the yakitori bowl tasted just like I imagined. The yakitori bowl has three pieces of yakitori removed from the skewers. It was green onion and meatballs. It's just delicious. All of the yakitori were delicious, but my personal recommendation is the fillet with wasabi. The fillet cheese was grilled thoroughly and the cheddar cheese melted, and it was as delicious as I imagined, but the wasabi was lightly grilled on both sides, like tataki, and served with dashi soy sauce? It's topped with wasabi. It doesn't feel dry and tastes like chicken sashimi. Thigh skewers, liver skewers, and skin skewers are all consistently delicious. A set meal with 3 pieces of yakitori costs about 1000 yen, so it's a good value for money. I think I'll go there often in the future.
