If you're staying south of Kyoto, where rent through AirBNB and other places are much more affordable than central Kyoto, you'll have limited options for izakayas and bars that are within walking distance. Thankfully, this izakaya is within walking distance of Nishiyama-Tennozan Station, and is definitely a welcome sight in this bedroom community. The atmosphere was homely, the food was lovely, they actually have vegetables and hearty dishes. Stop on by, and have a beer.
