This place is a gem. The hosts were very nice and the place was well priced. We don’t speak any Japanese, a side from a few words we looked up. Don’t be intimidated by the atmosphere. The beans, karage, tempura and sashimi, along with the squid were great plates. Right off the station. They have a good selection of drinks too.

Small shop easy to miss so keep an eye out! There is no English menu, however the staff were so polite and helpful! We got great and amazing food and will definitely be back during our stay!

Considered one of the best Obanzai experience during our stay in Kyoto, the owners were very warm and accomodating. You can choose from the wide varieties of fresh ingredients displayed along the bar. All the food served were very fresh, and very delicious. we love the way they cooked the food, all the ingredients like sauces and marinate complemented the taste of the produce, not overpowering it.
