Kashihara, Nara, Japan｜Shichifuku

My first time eating extra-thick tonkatsu! A scene from a manga where they stuff their cheeks with meat came to mind. It's interesting food. My food experience level has increased. I thought it was cheap for 1500 yen. I'm sorry if I looked down on you because it's in a remote location... That's what I felt. When I arrived at 11:10 on a weekday Thursday, there were already two groups of customers ahead of me, and the rice bowl arrived within 20 to 30 minutes, probably because it takes time to fry the food after receiving the order. By the time you get to the last slice, it's extremely thick. I ate it while feeling full. Well, I was very satisfied!

I was interested, so I sent it to you. There is a parking lot, so there were many people who came by car and waited in the empty spaces in the parking lot. (Many people park their cars and enter the store when the car passes by.) I went alone. If there are going to be many people in the store, it would be better to make a reservation (though if you are alone, there is a good chance that it will be okay). The Tojinai Katsudon (extra thick), which came out after ordering and not long after I ordered it, was thicker than I expected, very filling and delicious. It was a restaurant I definitely wanted to go to when I wanted to eat katsudon.

The inside of the store is very clean, and there are tatami rooms and counter seats. I ordered the Tojinai Katsudon (extra thick), and the moment it arrived at the table, it was thicker than I expected. It was topped with an egg. It's delicious as is, but it comes with sansho, black shichimi, and sauce, and I especially liked the sweetness of the sauce. Next time I visit, I would like to try the extra thick tonkatsu set meal.
