Ikazaya offers excellent food, a cozy atmosphere, and exceptional service. The meal set is particularly noteworthy and provides great value for the price. The portions are generous and cheap, while the quality of the food is top-notch. I highly recommend trying this restaurant.

It was raining and I had already visited 3 other Japanese restaurants before this one, including the one next door. They all declined to seat me since it's too much trouble to serve a gaijin. This restaurant has no English menu but the elderly lady made every effort to help me using Google translate. I ordered the assorted nigiri - good fish to rice ratio, tastes fresh, and filling by American standards. The other guests were regulars/locals and made the place feel homey. They all said good bye to me together - you will be hard pressed to find this kind of warmth in a larger city.
