Nara, Japan｜Hanashiba

Excellent sashimi, maguro tempura, and unagi rice. Very friendly and helpful though there is no English menu. Nice sake (Nihonshu) selection. Reasonable pricing and local atmosphere. The chef clearly cares about his patrons enjoyment.

We had a great menu freshly prepared in front of us. Sashimi, tempura, hot pot with fish. All cooked with love for food. They speak a bit of English, we a bit of Japanese (25 words...). It was good fun. White wine was not bad for Japanese restaurants. Beer was fine. A great evening.

Though they don’t speak much English, they still tried to help us understand the menu, with great patience. Nice shop and friendly ppl
