The location is very near the Kyoto station, so it can be crowded at times. You can come early or call in advance for a reservation (although the staff can't speak english). The food is amazing, I stayed in Kyoto for 3 days and both of my dinners are from this shop. The Karaage is out of this world, crispy yet not oily. Will come back if I visit Kyoto again.

This place is conveniently located which makes it a really popular spot. If you are in a group, I'll highly recommend making a reservation in advance. The food, however, is absolutely fantastic!! Reasonably priced and extremely tasty! No wonder it's so popular with the locals. It was so good that I went back for a second night in a row and the workers there were so happy to see me. Japanese customer service is already good but the workers here are so warm and welcoming even though they had to handle a full house! Taking customer service to the next level! If I'm visiting Kyoto again, I'm definitely coming back! Thanks so much!
