More Comments at Google MapOn a rainy night in Kyoto, we found this restaurant on Google. The owner was so kind and made us feel at home. Their warm welcome lifted our spirits. The food was great, and the sake the owner suggested went really well with our meal!
I stayed at a nearby homestay for two days and came to this small shop for two days. The entrance of the shop is a bit messy, the interior is a bit dirty, it’s a bit small, and it smells like dried seafood, but the food portion is really big and very fresh. Donburi tastes really good. There’s a chance definitely come again
The boss is very cute. Although we don't speak Japanese, we ordered our meals with the help of other diners and the boss, and we actually chatted. The environment in the izakaya was pleasant and cheerful, everyone was talking and laughing, and cheering from time to time🍻. I ordered three glasses of soju and it was delicious. I like Tsuruga Noriga and Tama no Hikaru the most. We ordered eggplant with sauce, nigiri sushi, and tempura. It was a pity that there was no kabayaki silk fish, but the boss was very nice and gave us a small plate of salt-baked silk fish and sesame tofu to taste. Finally there is fruit. The boss also gave me an orange. All in all, the atmosphere was great, and the people who came to eat were all neighbors. There was an old gentleman who could say "I love you" in Chinese and kept saying "I love you" to us haha! It can be seen that it is a restaurant where locals will eat. It is recommended for tourists who want to eat in restaurants where locals in Kyoto will eat. The food portions are large. We ordered three dishes and were full. The wine prices are very affordable, there are many varieties, and they are delicious. Definitely recommend all Chinese tourists to try it! I will come again next time I come to Kyoto.
