I love this small kyoto izakaya... I used to go here every night when I lived in kyoto... Small sliding door is very low and old... Open it and you see such a cool place, maybe can seat 10 people maximum... But usually more people squeeze in. Bottle beers umeshi, shochu, chu hai, hai ball, nihon shu etc.. No draft beer or wine served... Who cares its perfect place to experience kyoto culture The owner called the "DOCTOR" has lots of stories to tell... And Kenj san the staff is very friendly... Seriously I love this place in kyoto... opens after 6 pm and closes late, I often left 6 am.. If you go late you probably not get in its busy late night once full, there is no space to get in. Easy to miss the entrance door, but it's right next to a jyank ramen, a late night ramen shop, off kawarmachi in a small passage way. Oh.. I miss drinking here.
