Highly recommended! The meat was tasty and best quality! The side dishes also very tasty especially the cucumber pickles and the garlic fried rice! One of the most authentic meals we had in Kyoto! The service was quick, very polite and took the time to explain certain things such as how to traditionally have the meat with the garnishes. The owner was extremely friendly and gave as a sweet gift at the end of the dinner! Great value for money as well!

Great quality cuts of a5 wagyu for a fair price! The chef makes the experience next level by showing tremendous hospitality and making you feel right at home. The meat was so tender it melted in your mouth. They even gave us a little parting gift of bonito flakes and a shot of fresh watermelon juice. The chef is an artist and his canvas is beef, among the best meat we tried in Japan.

After reading some of the local reviews of this place on Tabelog, I knew we HAD to eat here. While we weren’t able to nab a dinner reservation, we were able to get a spot for lunch which ended up even better as it gave us the opportunity to chat with the owner and his son. First off, get the set and trust these masters to do their work. They will show you meat like you’ve never met meat before. My personal highlights were the sashimi with egg yolk and the outside skirt. I’d never had such high quality meat before and cut and cared for with such expertise. You know this place is legit when the chef is snacking on some raw tongue in between cuts. The second best part of the experience was simply the owner and his son. Despite our lack of Japanese, they tried their best to communicate with us, even sharing things about their lives after our meal. The restaurant was started by the owners dad and was passed to him. It was an amazing experience all around. Thank you so much for an unforgettable memory and meal! Tips — if you’d like to make a reservation, try to get your hotel to call for you. They don’t accept foreign numbers. Otherwise, go in person for lunch. It’s a less busy, more intimate experience.
