Osaka, Japan｜Manryo Minamimorimachi

One of the best Korean BBQ places I have ever been to. One of the top 3 restaurants in Osaka from my point of view. However, you need to make a reservation from time! You can also try to go directly there, but there are high chances that everything is booked. Later edit 28.01.2020 - I visited it again, same quality, and it still remains in my top3 of Osaka. It’s an Korean BBQ adapted to the Japanese market and it’s very high on the preference list of local Japanese people. The prices are quite high - for 2 persons to try 5-6 types of meat and 4-6 drinks it will go to 10-12000¥. But it’s worth every penny! For booking it’s best to kindly ask someone that speaks Japanese and you should do it 2 weeks in advance.

Although it's more of a Korean bbq place, the food is 5 star. The service was 4 star as they were hesitant to serve us due to not speaking English. Would give 4.5 overall as one of the waitresses came to the rescue, otherwise we would have been turned away! 6 big chunks of A5 wagyu at a very reasonable price (1580 yen). The daily special we had, thin strips of lightly dressed beef slices was worth ordering, other beef dishes were also fantastic! Sauces can be on the slightly salty side, but goes very well with beer.

$$$. Incredibly enjoyable dining experience of Japanese and Korean cuisine! They have some Japanese dishes like yakiniku and udon, but they offer primarily Korean dishes. In particular, I really enjoyed the yukhoe / yukke (steak tartare), Korean egg drop soup (gyeran-guk), and the Korean BBQ cooked DIY at our table. The quality of banchan (Korean side dishes) and meat, especially the Wagyu beef, at this restaurant is really excellent and the service is exactly what you would expect at a Japanese restaurant - perfect. The staff speaks Japanese, Korean and English.
