This restaurant is a Must when in Kyoto. The delicacy of their work, the sensibility of the cuisine and the perfection of the technique are presents on every dish. The service and the care for the guest are incredible, even with the language barrier, they try their best to explain everything. Its a restaurant where the "food is Alive and It talks to you". Thank you for letting me live your art even that i didn't have a reservation.

I don't understand all these bad reviews (maybe depends on the month you go as the menu changes frequently?), we had an amazing time dining here! The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. They even catered to me as I mentioned beforehand I didn't like shellfish. The chefs were very professional, but still put on a show and interacted with the guests. They speak basic English, so don't expect a detailed explanation about the food/sake, but they try their best. It was one of the most memorable food experiences I have had so far!

Amazing experience. I don't eat shellfish due to an allergy and they catered to me. Also, some of the things that they served me weren't things I typically would eat, but I could tell they did an amazing job and created very unique and special dishes for me. The chefs were very nice. Just be respectful and they will be in turn.
