Kyoto, Japan｜Hassun

This restaurant has been the highlight of my trip. Everything was beyond excellent from the aesthetic, the service, the food quality, choice, and presentation. Highly recommended to try Hassun if you are lucky enough to get a reservation. In total the meal took 2.5-3h, so keep in mind this is an experience, not just a meal and plan accordingly.

Wonderful experience for the tastebuds. It can be a little awkward if you don't speak Japanese, since the chefs will be communicating with other patrons but there is a chef who will give you the basics of what you are eatting so you are aware. From there, just enjoy the good food. Formal/ business casual wear did not seem to be enforced other than closed toe shoes and being presentable. Chefs were ok with picture taking. I used Tableall to book my reservation as a foreigner, went very smooth.
