Nara, Japan｜Wa Yamamura

Very pleasant experience. We made reservations way in advance but the restaurant still had a few empty seats when we arrived and 2 ladies managed to do a walk-in (lucky them, but won’t recommend) Menu had English translation and staff also spoke some english. Every dish was so well prepared and had all sorts of flavours and texture.

Made a reservation through phone around 1 month before, had the 10290 yen set. Enjoyed the food overall, owners were kind to walk us out when we left the restaurant

Love the place here! We made reservations about 1~2 months before our trip to Japan. Came across this 1 Michelin starred place in Nara with relatively good reviews, so we decided to try. Once entered we were welcomed with great hospitality from the lady host and the staffs. We selected counter seats when we made our reservations, the seatings are rather limited. We were then handed a hand-written menu (very neat and beautifully written) ... They had a Japanese version and foreigner version ... Kudos for being thoughtful. Food were served course by course --- We ordered the Kaiseki Course priced at JPY 12,710. In general, I quite like all the little dishes; the taste is light and not over bearing. The rice was a little normal too me, but it's good that they allow refills (if I understand correctly 😂 ... I think I heard they mentioned "okawari"). I am good without the refills as the entire course was quite filling already. When we are about to leave, both the owners would walk us to the door, and waved goodbye will we leave the premises. This place really gives you a very homey feeling. Top notch hospitality, love couple hosts. Great chef. No regrets coming here, and would definitely recommend to try out the place if you're around Nara region.
