Kyoto, Japan｜Hakata-Nagahama-Ramen Miyoshi

I love ramen and read an article that praised this local favorite. It is a modest restaurant with Tonkostu ramen that you can add your own level of spice too for a custom bowl of delicious soup. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavorful and creamy broth had a hint of sweetness. For 1000 yen I got the grilled pork bowl that had extra servings of meat and was a good serving size. My daughter tried the original and liked adding toppings to her bowl as well. If you add a big bottle of beer it will cost an additional 600 yen. There were parking lots nearby, and we paid 400 yen for half an hour. It was raining outside and the owners of the shop gave my family and I umbrellas to keep us dry, which I thought was extremely kind and thoughtful. I definitely recommend this ramen spot- it not only took the chill out if the day but it made it to my top three ramen spots throughout Japan!

Excellent food. Some of our group felt this was the best meal of our entire trip.

Awesome hole-in-the-wall Ramen. Fantastic broth, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Roasted pork ramen was amazing.
