More Comments at Google MapWent at 11:30am on a Thursday and the 8-seat counter was already full. Waited a minute to be seated and then just 2-3 minutes for Scallop and sansho ramen ¥880 to arrive. The flavor of the soup is unique, and the sansho is not overpowering, but just subtle enough. The quality of the noodles really stands out. Slippery with a nice bite, yet not hard at all. The menma (bamboo shoots) and chashu (so soft) were also delicious! But the noodles really stole the show, so I had to order a Kaedama (extra noodles)! Worth a trip. Upon leaving, I was thanked multiple times. Good, friendly service with a smile.
Didnt expect to find a michelin rated establishment here. Great food.
Yes, it's time for ramen 🍜 《Dawn of Wheat》 "Chinese noodles with flavored eggs, scallops and Japanese pepper 1,000 yen" ~Kyoto edition~ After seeing a follower's post, I couldn't resist the urge to try it, so I visited Mugi no Yoake. This restaurant is run by a young owner and won a Michelin Bib Gourmand within a year of opening. What you're looking for is "orientated hiyashi chuka." . However, it seems that they are not offering it on this day...I am completely lacking in research💦 Somehow, I managed to stay calm, bought a ticket for ``Chinese noodles with scallops and Japanese pepper,'' and went to wait inside. We were seated at the counter within a few minutes. After a while, the rice bowl arrived~🍜 【visual】 A simple arrangement of cloudy soup. Along with the bowl of rice, you will be surrounded by the scent of Japanese pepper! 【soup】 First, the soup... Hmmm! ! ! ! A rich, deep-flavored soup with the aroma of Japanese pepper, a soup you won't find anywhere else! 【noodles】 The medium-thin, flat, straight noodles are supple and comfortable to slurp. 【topping】 Pork chashu cooked at low temperature is moist and delicious! However, since it is soaked in soup, it will cook if you don't eat it quickly, so be careful! At this restaurant, the flavored eggs are submerged in the soup, so at first glance you may feel like there aren't any, so don't worry, they will come out as you eat (lol) Completely finished~ It was a feast. 😋 I wasn't able to eat the hiyashi chuka, but it was delicious so I guess it's a good thing. ✨ ※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※ <Store data> [Store name] Mugi no Yoake [Address] 12-5 Nishi-shichijo Kakekoshi-cho, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto Prefecture [Business hours] 11:30-14:00, 18:00-20:30 [Closed] Sunday night, Monday [Access] Approximately 15 minutes walk from Hankyu “Nishikyogoku” station *Business days, business hours, business format, etc. may change. ※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※
