Kyoto, Japan｜Ramen Hiryuu

Found this ramen place by incidence and it made my day! Very tasty fish soup with thin noodles. The owner treated us with hospitality.

This restaurant was our second choice after giving up on the extremely long wait at the vegan ramen shop around the block, but it was perfect! (skip the trendy place and come straight here instead) Our group had 8 people and they sat all of us (even getting an extra stool from the back). Ordering is self serve from a vending machine. The ramen was delicious and came out as quickly as the one chef could manage! After the meal we asked him to take our picture and chatted with him a bit in Japanese, super friendly guy! I will definitely come again if I come back to Kyoto. 美味しかったです! ありがとうございました!

I love this cute little ramen restaurant. I ordered the seafood ramen which came wirh a seafood broth, clams and mussels. It’s so much lighter and healthier than traditional ramen (which has meat broth).
