Osaka, Japan｜ラーメン家族 上新庄店

After registering with the local public hall when I first arrived in Osaka, Japan, my buddy, who was helping me register, took me here! It was during a dinner rush, but that did not stop both brothers, Ichiro, and Jiro, from meeting the demand of the customers! I would come to this restaurant easily 3-4 times a week. Every time, they were polite, charming and became good friends over my year abroad in Japan. So many great aspects of this ramen shop! Their ramen pork base broth is spectacular and delicious! The noodles are a great consistency and thickness to them! Having Kaedama is just enough to fill you up! Unfortunately, if you do just eat their ramen then you are missing out! By far, besides being able to chat and get to know the two brothers, the true experience of this place is their fried rice or Cha-han. My mouth was overloaded with ecstasy. I never knew I could taste such wonders in my life! The secret, the bothers both claim, is where they get their rice from! It definitely shows for sure, as even just a plain serving of rice is delicious! The price is absolutely maddening! Being able to get a teshoku (set meal) consisting of a side of gyoza, cha-han, karage, and their wonderful karashi ramen all for around 1200 yen or about 12 dollars is preposterously a great bargain! It's a disheartening coming back to the States and searching out a ramen shop that can come even a quarter of price, taste, consistency, and quality of service as this place offers everyday. Amazing! This will be the first place I have dinner again when I return to Osaka in the future.

How many years? It's been a long time since I've been here. In the past, honestly, it wasn't that delicious. was delicious. Pork bone tantanmen was delicious

Ordered flavored tonkotsu ramen 830 yen plus garlic fried rice set 450 yen The noodles are thin and slippery, and the fried rice has a good garlic accent! It was good as usual
