More Comments at Google MapCute ramen shop that offers a twist on ramen and some rice options. All ramen options are mapo-tofu-based, but you can choose yours with or without cheese. For the regular menu, there are three types of ramen - (1) mapo tofu (dry), (2) mapo tofu soup (you can include cheese if you want), and (3) grilled cheese and mapo tofu (dry). They also have rice bowls and side dishes such as gyoza. This restaurant also has a halal menu which offers two types of ramen - options 1 and 3 - as well as some rice options. We ordered the regular mapo tofu ramen soup with cheese, halal mapo tofu ramen, halal teriyaki chicken rice bowl, and a gyoza. The ramen soup was super flavourful, and the cheese was definitely a good addition. The dry mapo tofu ramen was good too. It tasted more spicy than the soup one. My hubby loved the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. The gyoza was delicious with thin dumpling skin. This is a very popular restaurant despite being away from the touristy sites. There was a line outside the restaurant when we came and a line when we left. Tucked behind a dessert shop, the restaurant is small, but the wait wasn't too long. Service was excellent. Great restaurant to try when in Nara.
Easily the best meal I’ve had in Japan. Spent two weeks travelling through the cities and looking for Halal food to eat while we are here. Amongst all the restaurants we’ve been to in Japan, this absolute find tops them all. expected to fall in love the way I did with that tofu. Never in my life have I enjoyed tofu but this one blew all my doubt away in the first bite. We all need to learn to appreciate vegan food more. I can’t thank the chef enough for his service and putting his love into our food. It was perfect.
I have tried ramen at this restaurant for the first time. I ordered ma-po-tofu ramen. It's delicious and a bit spicy but still ok for me. My friend ordered grill cheese ma-po-tofu. It also delicious and mellow taste from grill cheese. The restaurant have the english menu. Very good for foreigner.
