Osaka, Japan｜Syokutakudo

Came here for lunch. I am usually not looking for a heavy meal for breakfast nor lunch. This restaurant that sits around 10-11 people fits that criteria for me. I was served 7 side cold dishes and a main of my choosing (slightly seared mackerel sashimi, gingered pork or chicken). We ordered mackerel and gingered pork which were delicious. I do not speak any Japanese and the staff were extremely welcoming to a foreigner like myself. They went above and beyond to help translate the menu and make sure that I am aware of what I am ordering and the cold dishes in front of me. The jasmine tea at the end of the meal was a nice touch to help with digestion. For 1200 Yen/set, I think it was well worth it! Enjoy!

It was a great experience the chef were trying to communicate with me since of the language barrier from English to Japanese he just said to go to his Instagram account and point out pictures had the chicken tempura and potatoes salad amazing worth checking out.

Great place, nice atmosphere and delicious food. The owners are really friendly!
