Meshiya eatery. Where small dishes are displayed on counter and customers self service pick and choose. Some dishes needs to be ordered. There will be pictures to guide on all the food. After selecting, bring tray to table and the staff will come by to compute the bill. It is not a buffet restaurant. Complimentary Japanese tea. Nice & yummy food. Our bill comes up to 2206 yen for two.

First restaurant in Japan where we felt very comfortable. You go around and choose what you want. Get a table and the waiter will come and take your plates to warm them up. She will also bring your drinks and later will print your bill. You pay at the exit. Everything is reasonably priced and tasty. The chopsticks have sharp ends that makes their use easy even for a Canadian.
