The food, especially the chinese barbecue like roasted goose, soy sauce chicken is excellent, the food quality is very consistent after the renovation, they definitely up their game regarding the roasted goose after the renovation, the skin is crispy, the meat is tender, they now pour heated secret sauce in front of you which enhanced the taste of the goose, you can really taste the richness and the sweetness of the meat. They also have a variety of classic Cantonese style dishes, which they also excel at, I particularly enjoyed the lobster tail, the stir-fried milk, stir-fried beef tenderloin, dryed oyster(seasonal dish), stir-fried shrimp with asparagus. Their service is excellent when the floor isn't full, but if you come at primetime, the service is so-so. My only complaint is they can put more effort to improve the quality of their dessert, it tasted okay but was overshadowed by their excellent stir-fry dishes and Chinese Barbecue. One thing you should do when you walk in is to ask to be seated upstairs, the atmosphere is much better in first or second floor compared to ground floor. I would definitely recommend tourist to come by and try out their Chinese Barbecue, it's definitely top notch and worth the price, you won't be disappointed.

My family have been dining at Yung Kee for decades and we can always count on it for the best charcoal grilled roast goose (燒鵝); crispy skin, tender and juicy meat. All their gooses have been well marinated and even their bones were ingrained with the five spice aroma. During lunch time, they also offers great classic Cantonese dim sum that are hard to find these days. Like siu mai with pig liver, Chinese sausage bun, and Gun Tong Gaau (with steamed soup inside).

Yung Kee is a time-honored restaurant for Cantonese cuisine. It is located in Central and is very suitable for entertaining friends and business banquets. Winter melon cup, XO sauce braised fish pot, shrimp balls, Yong Kee roast goose, appetizers of preserved egg and red ginger slices to appetize, and Pu'er tea🍵 to relieve greasiness. A very good combination.
